Jana J. Shakespeare (cadenza) > It's ugly. It's dirty, but I've been fascinated by this section of the Royal Infirmary which I found out used to be the city morgue. What's interesting is that they have been working on it and are turning it into a morgue again. I guess they've run out of room in the one they were using.

Jana J. Shakespeare (cadenza) > Spent an hour or two today with a client overlooking the beach on Barry Island while we talked. After I dropped him off I came back and took a few photos for the day.

Confession: I've been exhausted and fighting morning sickness, so I didn't take a photo today. This is from yesterday's excursion to Barry Island. I know the photo is unremarkable, but I giggled as I wandered the island trying to find Nessa's work spot ("Gavin and Stacey" fans will understand). She's quite possibly the oddest TV character ever, but she makes me smile.

You have to forgive me the indulgence of adding one photo I definitely didn't take, but I shared in the creation! Andrew and I had the joy of seeing our baby today for the first time. There aren't words to describe how it felt to see that little heart beating and our child jumping around inside me. Today has truly been a joyful day!

On the 16th and 17th Unison went on strike. Enough people from my office were a part of it to close down the office. It was the first time I'd had my workplace shut down by a strike.
