Happy May Day! Look what April showers brought! I love calla lilies. I had mini callas at my wedding in 2006.

Behind St. Donats Church and Castle (outside of Llantwit Major). I went exploring on my way home today after I saw my client. I found a castle and 11th century church that I never knew existed. My June pictures thus far are so green and so very Welsh. Even though it looks lovely, my husband, like a proper Brit, is constantly cursing the rain that creates the green. After all, what would the British have to talk about if not the weather--they'd lose a piece of their national character if they stopped whinging.

The god of the bedroom: yes, that's right! You read correctly. My husband has a collection of African masks. This beast of one is huge and goes from ceiling to the top of our bed frame. He looks over our room, so we jokingly started calling him the god of the bedroom.
Jana J. Shakespeare (cadenza) > On December 23,2005 I went with my friends, Dawn and Nolan, to check the progress of their cabin they are building. I ran into, and got stuck in, thigh high snow in order to snap this shot of Henry's Fork at sunset. I think it was worth the cold legs and wet socks for the rest of the night!

We're in the middle of the Cardiff festival, when for a month, the city is filled with shows, exhibitions, attractions and street theater. These South American musicians were totally hokey, but they played well and their costumes were spectacular! -Even if the American in me was laughing away at their South American music and North American indian decorations like dream catchers.

It's Grandma's fault. Even years after she's gone. She taught me to crochet as a girl, but I've only put my hand to it a few times as an adult. Now with pregnancy hormones rushing through, I'm determined to make a beautiful baby blanket, but it's hard after years with no practice. I so miss my dear grandmother's watchful eye.
Jana J. Shakespeare (cadenza) > Inside the Senedd, Wales brand-new legislature building. Did I find a handsome man, or what?
